Question:
Does the ringworm home remedy cure using grapefruit seed extract really work?

I apply the extract mixed with glycerine once daily, cover it with a bandage, and ingest garlic and acidophilus (sp) pills--all suggested by the home remedy site I discovered on the net.

Answer: Grapefruit seed extract does have anti-fungal properties, but I usually recommend tea tree oil for topical fungal infections. If it causes irritation, dilute it 1:1 or 1:2 with olive oil.
