Natural cures for ringworm in hamsters????

My hamster has ringworm and I am currently unable to find a job and my mother is in denial and won't spend money on anything for him other than food and bedding. Are there any cures that I could make or cheap brands that work? I feel horrible and he keeps itching

Answer: Sorry to hear you are having problems. I am not sure if you know it or not but ringworm is contagious...yes, to people. If you can not take the hamster to the vet, visit with a hamster breeder near you that has experience. They may be able to help you for little or nothing. If you have a Pet Store near you, they may (probably not) be able to help you...mom and pop type store will be more likey to help then a large chain store. In the mean time try not to handle the hamster and when you do wash very well with soap and warm water. Good Luck to you and be careful you too do not end up the dreaded ringworm.
