Are there effective home remedies for uti or kidney infections?

i have a uti that jumped into being a kidney infection, i am allergic to some antibiotics, so the thought of taking them is kind of scary, just wondering if there are any effective home remedies for the pain and for the infection.

Answer: If you have a kidney infection GET IT TREATED PROPERLY or risk kidney damage.

As a useful preventative, cranberry juice is highly beneficial to bladder / uti prevention. If you have kidney infection taking place however you NEED proper medical attnetion unless you are happy to gamble with the future of your kidneys.
