Question: I would like to know if there are any reliable statistics aboutthe effects of homeopathic medicine.I'm not a doctor so let me totally clear about my desire:If a group of patients with a certain disease is treat with a certainhomeopathic medicine there are two possibilities:1) an effect of of the treatment is observed2) NO effect of of the treatment is observed I think the placebo effect could be eliminated by choosing a groupof children as patients. May be this all I say here is very naive for people with medical educationbut I wonder about the increasing acceptance for homeopathy and its relativelyearnest reputation in public altough the scientific basis is not so evident.
Answer: Homeopathy is nonsense. The tiny effects sometimes seen canuniversally be put down to experimental error. There are much more effective ways of eliminating the placebo effect. The placebo effect is often very strong in children.
