Question: Home remedy for asthma please?
Answer: I really don't think there is a "home remedy" for asthma, because there are so many triggers. Asthma is an inflammation and constriction of the tubes leading into and out of the lungs. In some people asthma is an allergic reaction to some thing as simple as dust, but in others, an asthma attack can be brought on by physical or even emotional stress. You can try to decrease the frequency and even the severity of the attacks by trying to identify the triggers and removing them as much as possible, but this can be very frustrating and could even cause them to become worse. While I am very much in favor of home remedies, I believe that there are times when we really need to seek the advice of a doctor that is trained in this field and is up on all the latest treatments. A good pulmanologist or an allergist should be able to help and if funds are of major concern, contact your local Health Dept or other service agencies in your area. That is what they are there for. Believe me as an asthma sufferer, I know how serious these attacks can be and they can even be fatal. I have been in respiratory failure several times and had to put on a ventilator until the swelling and inflammation were relived. If I had not sought treatment form a doctor, I would not be here today to enjoy my wonderful grand children.
