Question: If it's alternative it is not medicine.Alternative means that it has failed to produce results under testconditions..IOW it's snake oil In a healing context alternative means a choice one or the other eghealing or orthodox medicine. Complementary means two or more things together eg Orthodox medicine andhealing. No properly trained healer who is not on an ego trip would interfere with orthodox treatment. We would would like to work together.I bet you do. Since 'alternative medicine' has nothing to show for itself, it's a good tactic to try and make people think you're part of the(conventional) team that does have succes. Which makes you and your ilk parasites. It should be remembered that there are doctors who are not as good asother doctors and the same goes for healers as well. Alan I can show you loads of doctors who can actually cure people. You show meone 'healer' who can, just one. There may be nice and friendly 'healers' and less nice and friendly 'healers', but *none* of them are good in thesense that they can actually cure anything.

For example, the University of Arizona College ofMedicine offers a program in Integrative Medicine under the leadership ofDr. Andrew Weil which trains physicians in various branches of alternativemedicine which "neither rejects conventional medicine, nor embracesalternative practices uncritically." [3] In three separate research surveysthat surveyed the 125 medical schools offering a MD degree, the 19 medicalschools offering a DO degree, and 585 schools of nursing in the UnitedStates: 60 percent of U.S. medical schools offering a MD degree teach CAM,95% of Osteopathic medical school teach CAM, and 84.8% of US schools ofnursing teach CAM. (Wetzel et al 1998, Saxon et al 2004, Fenton & Morris2003) In the UK, no medical schools offer courses that teach the clinical practiseof alternative medicine. However, alternative medicine is taught in severalschools as part of the curriculum. Teaching is based mostly on theory andunderstanding alternative medicine, with emphasis on being able tocommunicate with alternative medicine specialists. To obtain competence inpractising clinical alternative medicine, qualifications must be obtainedfrom individual medical societies. The student must have graduated and be aqualified doctor. The British Medical Acupuncture Society, which offersmedical acupuncture certificates to doctors, is one such example. Journals dedicated to alternative medicine research a..
