Question:
What's alternative about doctors?

People ask questions in here and so many answerers just go on a rant and tell you to go to the doctor or the GP without even attempting to answer the actual question WHY???I mean this is alternative medicine ffs!!!

Answer: I've done that on a few questions mainly because the way the symptoms are described it serious enough to warrant a trip to a doc sharpish.

Alternartive medicine is great - but often as not - should be used in conjunction/liasion with your GP. Especially when conditions are serious and/or life threatening.

You also have to remember, that when people answer the questions - it's generally from the front page, ie; most recently asked questions. I'm not sure many will go to the Alternative Medicine Section and then start answering. This means that they may not be aware that they are answering or should be answering in the context of alternative medicine - if you see what I mean.
